Arraignment for Kristina Rees Poling, 39, on the first-degree misdemeanor is scheduled for Monday in Akron Municipal Court.

At 7:24 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the Five Below parking in the plaza lot at 3888 Medina Road about a child alone in a vehicle, according to a report. The temperature outside was 82 degrees.

When police arrived, they reported the 2011 Buick was running, but then turned off shortly after. The report stated police attempted to enter the vehicle to check on the child about the time Poling exited the store.

Witnesses told police the girl was left in the vehicle unattended for about 13 minutes.

The child was released to the family after being examined by Bath Township EMS, a report said.

Court records in Medina and Summit counties show no prior convictions for Poling, 5000 block of Windem Drive
